Battery

Battery (Accumulator)

Devices that convert chemical energy into electrical energy, store it, and make it available for use when needed are called accumulators (or batteries). Batteries do not have the ability to generate energy on their own. They need a charging source to store energy. In boats, batteries are charged by generating energy from dynamos connected to the engine, rectifiers, and solar panels. Whatever energy we supply to our battery, it will return it to us as energy when we need it. If we do not charge the batteries beforehand, for a sufficient time and capacity, and using appropriate techniques, it is not possible for them to return sufficient energy. One of the most common complaints we receive is that batteries discharge quickly or fail quickly, thus shortening their lifespan.

We can categorize battery usage in boats under two main headings:
* Robust, maintenance-free, longer service life and significantly more charge/discharge cycles.
* Achieving much higher performance with smaller, lighter sizes and smaller batteries.
